  • cyberattacks, attempts to compromise security, or disruption of website operation;

Where the website permits users to create an account, users must provide accurate and up-to-date information.

Users are responsible for:

  • maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials;
  • activities performed through their account;
  • notifying the administrator if unauthorized access is suspected.

Accounts must not be used to impersonate other persons or for unlawful activities.

The journal may suspend or deactivate an account where justified by security concerns, breach of these Terms, or abusive use of services.

7. Academic Content and Editorial Independence

Published articles represent the intellectual contributions of their authors.

The opinions, interpretations, and conclusions expressed in an article belong to the authors and do not necessarily represent the views of the publisher, Editorial Office, Editorial Board, Scientific Advisory Board, or reviewers.

Acceptance and publication of an article do not constitute endorsement by the journal of all statements or opinions expressed in that article.

Authors’ responsibilities and editorial responsibilities are set out in the journal’s dedicated policies.

8. Copyright and Licensing of Articles

Authors retain copyright in works published under the journal’s current policy and grant the journal a non-exclusive right of first publication.

Articles published under the current editorial policy are distributed under the:

Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

This license permits copying, distribution, adaptation, and reuse of the material, including for commercial purposes, subject to the attribution requirements of CC BY 4.0.

For each article, users should verify the copyright and licensing information displayed with the relevant publication.

Articles published previously under different licensing conditions remain subject to the terms applicable at the time of publication, unless expressly stated otherwise.

Further details are available on the Copyright page.

9. Rights in the Website and Non-Academic Materials

Except for articles and materials belonging to authors or other rights holders, the structure, design, graphic elements, institutional texts, logos, and other original elements of the website belong to MultiMedia SRL or are used under appropriate rights or licenses.

The CC BY 4.0 license applied to an academic article does not automatically extend to the entire website, logos, trademarks, design, or third-party materials.

10. Third-Party Materials

Some articles or pages may contain images, tables, graphs, excerpts, or other materials originating from third parties.

Such materials may be subject to copyright or licensing conditions different from those applicable to the article or page in which they appear.

Users are responsible for verifying the legal status of such materials before reuse.

11. Manuscripts and Content Submitted to the Journal

Authors submitting manuscripts must hold the necessary rights in the materials submitted and comply with the journal’s policies regarding:

  • originality;
  • authorship;
  • third-party rights;
  • permissions;
  • research ethics;
  • competing interests;
  • use of artificial intelligence.

Submission of a manuscript does not guarantee acceptance or publication.

Manuscripts are subject to the editorial process and peer review in accordance with the journal’s policies.

12. Preservation of the Scholarly Record

A published article is not simply removed from the journal archive at the author’s request.

After publication, any errors, integrity concerns, or other relevant issues are handled through editorial procedures relating to:

  • corrections;
  • clarifications;
  • withdrawals;
  • retractions;
  • editorial notices.

The journal seeks to preserve a stable, transparent, and verifiable scholarly record.

This rule supersedes any previous provision under which an author could unilaterally withdraw and delete an already published academic article.

13. Comments and Other User Contributions

If the website permits comments or other public contributions, users remain responsible for the content they submit.

Contributions are not permitted if they:

  • violate the law;
  • infringe the rights of others;
  • contain threats or harassment;
  • are manifestly defamatory;
  • contain spam or unsolicited advertising;
  • contain malware;
  • disclose personal or confidential information without authorization.

The administrator may moderate or remove contributions that breach these rules.

Opinions expressed in comments belong to their authors and do not represent the journal’s position.

14. Reporting Copyright Infringement

Persons who believe that material published on the website infringes their copyright or other intellectual property rights are invited to contact the journal.

A notice should include, where possible:

  • identification of the person or rights holder;
  • description of the protected material;
  • precise identification of the disputed material and its URL;
  • an explanation of why the use is considered unauthorized;
  • contact details;
  • documents or other information supporting the claim.

Notices may be sent to:

contact@cunoasterea.ro

The journal will review the notice and may request additional information before taking action.

15. Website Availability

MultiMedia seeks to keep the website accessible and operational but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability.

Temporary interruptions may occur as a result of:

  • maintenance;
  • technical updates;
  • security incidents;
  • system failures;
  • infrastructure-provider issues;
  • force majeure events.

The journal seeks to preserve academic content and the archive through appropriate technical measures and procedures.

16. Accuracy of Information

The journal makes reasonable efforts to keep institutional, bibliographic, and editorial information accurate and up to date.

However, material errors, temporarily outdated information, or technical problems may occur.

Reported errors will be corrected where confirmed.

Academic information published in articles remains subject to author responsibility and the editorial processes described in the journal’s policies.

17. Links to External Services

The website may contain links to:

  • DOI/Crossref;
  • ORCID;
  • academic databases and services;
  • repositories;
  • institutions;
  • social platforms;
  • other external websites.

These links are provided for information and convenience.

MultiMedia does not control and is not responsible for the content, availability, security, or policies of external websites.

Use of third-party services is subject to their own terms and conditions.

18. Data Protection

The processing of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.

The use of cookies and similar technologies is governed by the applicable cookie policy and consent mechanisms used on the website.

19. Commercial Products and Services

Certain products, such as print editions, complete digital editions, or other publications, may be offered for purchase.

Access to open-access academic articles is not conditional upon the purchase of a subscription or product.

Conditions concerning orders, payment, delivery, withdrawal rights, product conformity, and refunds are presented separately in Terms and Conditions – Online Store.

20. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, MultiMedia is not liable for indirect losses caused solely by:

  • temporary interruptions of the website;
  • unavailability of external services;
  • improper use of information by the user;
  • content of external websites accessed through links;
  • events beyond the operator’s reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits rights or liabilities that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

21. Changes to the Terms

These Terms may be updated to reflect:

  • legislative changes;
  • changes to technical infrastructure;
  • changes to services offered;
  • development of editorial policies;
  • security and user-protection requirements.

The current version and date of last update are published on this page.

Changes do not retroactively affect acquired rights where applicable law does not permit this.

22. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania and, where applicable, by relevant European Union law.

This provision does not limit mandatory rights granted to consumers or other persons under applicable law.

Any disputes will, where possible, first be addressed amicably.

Where no amicable solution can be reached, disputes will be resolved by the competent courts as determined by applicable law.
