Determining Jealousy in Young Adults

Jealousy represents a complex psychological phenomenon with a significant impact on an individual’s emotional and relational functioning, being considered a relevant indicator of personality organization. Beyond its immediate affective dimension, jealousy reflects the way early relational experiences, attachment styles, defensive mechanisms, and emotional regulation processes interact within the individual’s psychic structure. Persistent and maladaptive manifestations of jealousy may indicate structural vulnerabilities and difficulties in affective integration, whereas transient and adaptive forms are associated with secure attachment and mature defensive mechanisms. In this context, the analysis of jealousy provides an important perspective on personality organization and contributes to the development of psychotherapeutic interventions focused on mentalization, emotional regulation, and the strengthening of mature defense mechanisms.

The Collapse of the Judicial System: From an Instrument of Hierarchy to a Victim of Anarchy

This paper aims to investigate the trajectory of the functional metamorphosis of the judicial system, analyzing its transformation from an arbiter of the law in a rule-of-law state, to an instrument for consolidating an oligarchic hierarchy, and, ultimately, to a victim of anarchic disorder. The primary objective is the development of an integrative theoretical framework, based on classical sociology, to explain the dynamics of judicial collapse as a function of the erosion of social cohesion. A secondary, yet practically essential, objective is the construction and validation of a quantitative instrument – the Judicial Stability Index (JSI) – which enables the operational diagnosis and early warning of this collapse.

Non-Linear Change: Why Retreat and Reconsideration Are Not Failures, but Mechanisms of Personal Evolution

Objectives: This article aims to deconstruct the myth of linear psychological progress and to offer an alternative conceptual framework that legitimises retreat and reconsideration as integral, functional components of personal evolution. The purpose is to overcome the pathologising perspective on psychological oscillations and to scientifically establish a model of change as a complex, self-regulated, and non-linear process.

The approach is qualitative and phenomenological, illustrated by clinical and everyday life examples, aiming to construct a coherent conceptual model.

Russia’s Gopnik Subculture: aktsiia on the street and “correct” masculinity in post-Soviet Russia

The Implementation and Benefits of Telework in Various Sectors: Reality or Rhetoric?

This article explores the concept of telework, defined as work performed outside the traditional office, using technology to accomplish professional tasks. Initially designed to meet the needs of continuous customer support and to foster technological advancement, telework has been widely adopted by organizations due to its benefits, such as increased productivity, reduced operational costs, decreased traffic, and lower pollution. However, studies have highlighted significant challenges, such as employee feelings of isolation and the lack of effective managerial strategies to ensure connectivity and efficiency in remote work. Furthermore, the inadequate preparation for both the implementation and ongoing support of telework programs has become obvious. This article examines the implementation of telework and its benefits across various HoReCa organizations well equipped with digital tools and platforms, aiming to determine whether it represents a tangible reality or merely a management rhetoric by highlighting, within SWOT analyses, the advantages and challenges associated with this transition brought about by the adoption of telework.

Tropaeum Augusti (France) and Tropaeum Traiani (Romania): A Comparative Study

Two Roman trophees, Tropaeum Augusti (or Trophée des Alpes) and Tropaeum Traiani, survived the time in France and Romania. They are considered to be the birth certificates of the French and Romanian peoples. The edifices, preserved in different ways over time, are particularly attractive tourist attractions in both countries. The two monuments are not only an ancient edifice dedicated to the victories of the Romans over the defeated peoples, but it is also a summum of scientific thought, of the age applied in the art of construction. The analysis of the technique of accomplishment of the two monuments highlights the Romans’ understanding in architecture. Moreover, the two monuments stand out for the same destiny. The two edifices outline the history of the two countries. The architects applied the principles set up by Vitruvius Pollio in De Architecture. The restoration works of the trophees from La Turbie and Adamclisi are emblematic. The trophies dedicated to Augustus and Trajan signify the honors devoted to the two emperors; the Romans attributed them the feeling of the deity, so that the fate of the emperors is assimilated as sons of God, promised to be divine. Both trophies record the deeds of their heroes.

Models of Emotional Intelligence in Research and Education

The emotional intelligence models have helped to develop different tools for construct assessment. Each theoretical paradigm conceptualizes emotional intelligence from one of two perspectives: ability or mixed model. Ability models consider emotional intelligence as a pure form of mental ability and therefore as pure intelligence. Mixed models of emotional intelligence combine mental capacity with personality traits. The trait models of emotional intelligence refer to the individual perceptions of their own emotional abilities. Cognitive learning involves placing new information into existing frameworks and modes of understanding.
