Cunoașterea Științifică is coordinated by an editorial team and supported by a Scientific Advisory Board composed of specialists in fields relevant to the journal’s interdisciplinary profile.

The editorial team is responsible for managing the editorial process, conducting the initial assessment of manuscripts, selecting reviewers, overseeing the peer-review process, and making editorial decisions.

Peer Review

Reviewers are not automatically part of the editorial structures presented on this page.

For each eligible manuscript, the Editorial Board selects independent reviewers with expertise relevant to the subject of the work and without competing interests that could affect their impartiality.

The review process is double-anonymous, in accordance with the journal’s policy.

Editorial Independence and Competing Interests

Editorial decisions are made exclusively on the basis of academic criteria, the relevance of the manuscript to the journal’s scope, the peer-review process, and compliance with editorial and ethical policies.

Members of the Editorial Team and the Scientific Advisory Board must disclose any actual, potential, or perceived competing interest relevant to a manuscript.

A member of the editorial team must not take part in handling or deciding on a manuscript where a competing interest could affect their impartiality.

Where a manuscript is authored or co-authored by the Editor-in-Chief, an editor, a member of the Editorial Board, or a member of the Scientific Advisory Board, editorial responsibility is assigned to another qualified person who has no competing interest. The author concerned does not participate in reviewer selection or in the editorial decision regarding their own work.

Membership of the journal’s editorial structures does not guarantee or favor acceptance of a manuscript.

Voluntary Nature of the Roles

The activities of members of the Editorial Board and Scientific Advisory Board are carried out on a voluntary basis and are not remunerated by the journal.

Institutional affiliations are presented solely for the professional identification of members and do not imply endorsement, funding, or sponsorship of the journal by the respective institutions, unless expressly stated otherwise.

Member Consent and Updating of Information

Members of the Editorial Board and Scientific Advisory Board must give their consent to being included in the journal’s structures.

Members are asked to inform the journal of:

  • changes in relevant professional position or status;
