The Importance of the Rare Earths for the World Economy

“Rare earth elements” (REE) is a frontier discipline between economics as a generic science and the economy of rare earth elements, which studies the production, the distribution and the circulation of the rare earths. On our planet, over a quarter of the new technologies involved in producing economic goods use REE, also known as critical minerals. In the near future, the competition to control the reserves of REE will get tough. In the 21st Century, REE are as important as oil was for the previous century and coal for the 19 th Century, namely, the engine of a new industrial revolution. Rare earth elements represent a new concept and become an important part of our daily life, given the increased use of smart devices.

School dropout rate in Romania

Throughout our personal journey, family and school are the main pillars that introduce us to the term socialization and subject people to different scenarios that can be applied later in adult life. The two institutions co-exist together and collaborate in order to help raise future generations. School and family are the basis in education, the two should have a harmonious relationship for the good of children. The two influence the child’s school work and social life. The family is the first group a child interacts with in the early years of life. Then comes the educational institution, called school, which is a place of social interaction, where teachers and pupils communicate, new social relationships are established outside the family.

Anime culture in Romania

In Romania, since the last few years, there has been an increase in the consumption of media of Japanese origin, manifested by watching animation productions and reading comics. In January 2022, the anime film “The Dragon and the Freckled Princess” made its debut in Romanian cinemas. It was promoted in the country as the first anime to be shown in cinemas, with the title “Belle”. In September 2022, the first licensed manga collections in Romanian appeared.

The first anime dubbed in Romanian appeared in the early 90s and were broadcast on TVR 1 or other cartoon channels. Nowadays they are available on various streaming platforms such as Netflix. This paper traces the evolution of anime in Romania from the ’90s to the present.

The Role of the State in Labour Relations

Through this work, a brief analysis of the role of the state in labor relations was intended to be carried out. The state is not strictly speaking a single actor, but is composed of numerous different agencies, each with its own distinct goal and function. As a result, separating the political, economic, and judicial roles may be somewhat arbitrary. In reality, the state is more of an “open system” rather than a single or uniform party. The term “state” is an acceptable abbreviation to capture the interactions of all institutions and agencies that carry out the government’s will. It is important to understand that the state feels obliged to involve itself in labor relations through certain roles it holds, and to understand that it has an impact on the socio-economic aspect of a country.

Closed Economies, Autarchy – Failure and Economic Disaster

Autarchy is an economic system in which the state refuses any commercial connection with the outside, solely relying on its own resources. In an autarchic economy, the state does not participate in the international economic life, is not part of any regional and/or global economic organization and does not export or import goods. The characteristics of a closed, autarchic economy are: 1). the state does not take into account the progress of the world economy, 2). the state lacks involvement in the international economy, 3). economic independence is pursued by drastically reducing or canceling imports and exports, 4). the state solely relies on its own resources. This economic system can lead to: a). a pronounced economic decline, due to the impossibility of the state to provide the necessary goods and services for the population’s livelihood, b). a decrease in national incomes, considerable decrease in GDP, c). an increase in the state’s access to domestic natural resources, which in turn leads to an increased chance of their depletion, d). social instability.

The Security Management System from the Perspective of the Global Energy Crisis and the Extended Black Sea Region Escalating Conflict

Mediul de securitate contemporan suferă mutații din ce în ce mai imprevizibile, și pe scena internațională pare a apare tendința unui conflict care amenință să izbucnească în orice moment, devenind un conflict deschis, violent și capabil să se răspândească rapid peste tot; deși timp de decenii sursa conflictului părea a fi regiunea Orientului Mijlociu, mai recent, această sursă de conflicte globale pare să se deplaseze puțin mai spre nord, ajungând în Regiunea Extinsă a Mării Negre (EBSR). Aparent, în EBSR sunt marile resurse fosile care vor fi importante odată ce bazinele de petrol/gaz din Orientul Mijlociu vor fi epuizate. Momentul epuizării resurselor fosile din Orientul Mijlociu nu este prea departe. EBSR va deveni centrul de interes global și această mutare a sursei globale de conflict în regiunea Mării Negre duce la necesitatea dezvoltării unor modele noi și speciale de management al securității naționale. Dar în ce direcție? Această întrebare, printre altele, atrage atenția cercetării științifice în acest important domeniu al securității. Primul scop ar putea fi doar aflarea adevărului, pentru că numai pe baza adevărului putem dezvolta modelul adecvat de management.
